I won 3rd place last night for my robots. Cool.

Woohoo! My dream is coming true! The empty room is slowly but surely being turned into a workspace for me. I moved a bookshelf, my Ott-Lite and the sewing desk into a nice little spot in the corner. I also organized my stuff as I like it. Now that the kids are older they tend to mostly stay out of my stuff which is nice. We'll be moving the desk and one of the computers in there are also. That means I can work away from the TV but not necessarily have to totally retreat to my bedroom. There is also the added bonus of less clutter in the family room. Storage is still a problem as is the size of the desk I'm working at but it's a huge improvem

I'm tired. Really, really tired. I work too hard when I should be working smarter. A big part of the problem is that I don't have a comfortable private place to work. I need to set something up. Ideally I would have drawing/painting desk on one side and a computer on the other, that way I could roll between the workstations. I'd also like it all away from the TV. Just because I'm not watching it doesn't mean I can't hear and get bothered or distracted. In my dream world I'd set this all up in the other room. And naturally this would require decent storage which I've noticed can cost a small fortune. Honestly, slap the work "art" in the descri
